In addition TangoPCB Series II DOS ASCII files can be converted to 274-X gerbers and also imported into SprintLayout6.0 for editing also. i used to use Protel autotrax program, many years ago, but because of lack of practice, I have almost forgotten how to use it properly, and the latest version is way to complicated for a simple guy like me - who needs 10 layers of board etc. I also added to that document a procedure for importing the converted files directly into SprintLayout6.0 to make an editable PCB file.
I have found what I needed and was able to create a document for converting Protel EasyTrax and AutoTrax 274-D gerbers and drill files into 274-X files and drill files that modern PCB makers will readily accept. Sorry to be so late in getting back on this.
